About the Gallery
The Foster City Art Gallery is a not-for-profit public art gallery which operates for the benefit and enrichment of the public. The mission of the Gallery is to promote awareness and appreciation of the visual arts and showcase a variety of artists throughout the year. Located in Foster City California, the Gallery is housed within the William Walker Recreation Center which is visited by over 100,000 people per year. The Gallery measures 10' by 27.5'. The Gallery is managed by City staff and volunteers that make up the Foster City Art Gallery Selection Committee.

Applying to the Gallery
The Foster City Art Gallery Selection Committee reviews proposals for exhibitions on a monthly basis and welcomes new artists to submit artwork for consideration. 

Artist Eligibility
Open to all U.S. artists 18 years of age* or older.  Work must be original and not previously exhibited at the Foster City Art Gallery. *The Art Gallery Selection Committee will schedule specific times to feature artists under 18 years of age.

Artist Selection Process
To be considered, complete the Art Gallery Submission Application to the attention of the Art Gallery Selection Committee at the Foster City Recreation Center or by email at recreation@fostercity.org. Please note, the Recreation Center is a family oriented facility and exhibitions will be evaluated on appropriateness for our venue. Display priority is given to Foster City residents and to those who have not been featured in the gallery in previous years.

Artists interested in selling their artwork to the public will be required to pay a fee of $50.  The Artist shall be responsible for the installation and retrieval of the artwork at the Gallery in accordance to the Schedule of Performance.
